The GLO’s core mission is the management of state lands and mineral-right properties totaling 20.3 million acres, including the beaches, bays, estuaries and other "submerged" lands out to 10.3 miles in the Gulf of Mexico.  If your property borders submerged land and you’re considering bulk-heading, filling, installing a pier, or any other project that might affect submerged land, please contact the General Land Office – Lower Coast Field Office in Corpus Christi at (361) 825-3030 BEFORE you start your project.

TCOON is a modern state-of-the-art water-level measurement system along the Texas coast.  The site provides updated tide information, as well as a user-friendly map with associated data to monitor tides in your area.

Texas Administrative Code (TAC) - http://www.sos.state.tx.us/tac/

The TAC is a compilation of all state agency rules in Texas. There are 16 titles in the TAC. Each title represents a category and relating agencies are assigned to the appropriate title.  This site contains the rules associated with leases, easements, structure registrations, pier permits and other rules concerning submerged land.  Please consult your local attorney for interpretations of any rules or Texas laws.
